The writer of Psalm 47 has captured the notion of gratitude!  When I stand still, knowing that God is in control of my life, I see the evidences of God’s action on my behalf.  I cry out, “Hallelujah.”

O how I long to live into the joy that is mine in Christ Jesus.  I want to live graciously, experiencing the “peace that passes understanding.”

Deep peace begins when I stand still and see the salvific gifts given each day.

When I look across my life and see the mighty hand of the Lord, taking note of all that has been done for me, I cannot contain myself.  Indeed, I must clap my hands and shout to God with cries of joy!
