2015 Mission Banquet

The 2015 Mission Banquet was held on Saturday, October 17th at the Drexelbrook Banquet Facility in Drexel Hill, PA .

At this year’s banquet we celebrated 18 individuals recognized for being change agents in their church.  The recipients were:  Rev. Bisa Bennett (Canaan Baptist Church); Mrs. Brenda Benson (Bethlehem Baptist Church); Sister Crystal Blue (Society for Helping Church); Rev. Arthur Boston (Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Holmesburg); Mrs. Marie Coleman (Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Philadelphia); Shelley Dugan, Esquire (The Green Church); Rev. Gregory Ellis (Pinn Memorial Baptist Church); Mrs. Diane Evans (Second Baptist Church of Germantown); Rev. Elizabeth Marie Griffin (Gibson Temple Baptist Church); Mrs. Jean Grover (Lansdowne Baptist Church); Pastor Christopher Hamilton (First Baptist Church of Lansdale); Deacon Marquis Hines (Wayland Memorial Baptist Church); Rev. B. Michelle Horton (Greater Enon Missionary Baptist Church); Mr. Chuck Marshall (Central Baptist Church of Wayne); Sister Doris McGillan (St. Paul’s Baptist Church of West Chester); Mrs. Carol Osborne (The Baptist Church in the Great Valley); Mrs. Doris Sims (Mt. Carmel Baptist Church); Ms. Joanne Stone (Second Baptist Church of Media).

The Rev. Dr. Eloise Scott received the Carolyn M. Piper Pastoral Counseling Merit Award for faithful and effective pastoral counseling presented by the American Baptist Home Mission Societies, ABCUSA.  Dr. Scott is a self-described “pastoral psychotherapist” in private practice in Philadelphia.  She works with individuals, couples and small groups focused on spiritual and personal growth and leadership.  She is also a small group and workshop facilitator at Lutheran Theological Seminary, Philadelphia.  An ordained ABCUSA pastor, she is an associate minister at Second Baptist Church of Germantown.  This award is named in recognition of the life, ministry and leadership of Pipe, a pastoral caregiver with more than two decades of experience.
