Passion for Mission Cafe
Here Am I. Send Me!
On Saturday, April 16th the first annual PBA Passion for Mission Café was held at the Baptist Church in the Great Valley, Rev. John Loring, Pastor (for pictures of the day, read more.)
Participants were inspired and challenged by the presenter of the day, Rev. Derick Brennan, pastor of the Canaan Baptist Church as he told the story of Canaan Baptist Church’s mission work.
About 80 individuals attended, including a number of youth and young adults came together to join in conversation about what missions means to them and how they engage in missions in their church and community.
Dividing into small groups, participants were able to discuss the following three questions:
Question One – Who is the me in missions? What is my call to missions?
Question Two – What is our mission context? How does our present mission outreach align with our mission context?
Question Three – how do we engage diverse participation in missions in the life of our congregations? What evidence do we have that supports our assertions about diverse participation?
